New Restaurant Concepts
Typically, when you travel to a Sandals Resort you are greeted with the same restaurant names and types of food regardless of the Sandals Resort that you go to. That is not the case at Sandals Saint Vincent! Sandals Saint Vincent has 11 restaurants, and some of our favorites are:
Scrimshaw – a seafood restaurant available for dinner that has a whole Conch section
Parisol – this is a beachfront restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and snacks and features Caribbean specialties that you don’t see normally at other resorts such as Phoulori (fried dough made up of spiced split peas and flour served with a sweet chutney). They also have an array of refreshing drinks for guests to enjoy!
Buccan – open for dinner, Buccan is a family-style restaurant with a fixed menu designed to give guests a taste of the local Saint Vincent ingredients.
Imoro & Isola – guests looking for a quick lunch can custom order pizzas, salad, and grain bowls to go and enjoy them poolside or at the café tables nearby.
The "Sandals 2.0" Design
When you arrive at Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, you can immediately feel the difference in atmosphere compared to other Sandals Resorts. The resort feels more laid back and modern – less like your typical “all-inclusive resort” and more like a beach club! With 4 tower buildings and over 45 one-story villa buildings (each housing 2 one-bedroom suites) plus over the water bungalows, most of the resort’s buildings are spread out throughout the resort’s lush green grounds (which you can easily get around by walking or by hopping on one of the many “grab and go” bikes throughout the property).
The As-Private-As-You-Can-Get Beach
As travel agents, we hear all the time that our clients want a quiet beach where they can relax without being inundated by people trying to sell them things. While no beach is 100% private, Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the beach is a close as private as you can get! Nestled in a valley with a mountain on one side and a creek on the other, the beach at Sandals Saint Vincent’s beach is only accessible via boat or the Sandals grounds, so you can enjoy your beach time! And while most beaches in Saint Vincent tend to have black sand (which can get hot in the sun), Sandals made sure to bring in cooler powder-soft white sand for guests to dig their feet into!
New Room Styles
By this point, we are used to seeing Ocean View rooms, Swim Up rooms, and even Overwater Villas in the Caribbean, but Sandals Saint Vincent has taken it a step further! Four of the room categories at Sandals Saint Vincent feature a private plunge pool with ocean views – perfect for travelers who want to relax in their room but still take a dip in the pool. Sandals also introduced room categories that cater to special interests of travelers. The Media Rooms are great for kicking back with your partner and watching a movie before bed or on a rainy day in paradise. Alternatively, the Fitness rooms are complete with an exercise bike, hand weights, and a TV to keep you entertained while you work up a sweat.
The Welcoming Staff
When you travel, regardless of how nice the resort is, delicious the food is, picturesque the beach is, or unique the room is, it’s the people at a resort that truly make your experience wonderful – and the staff at Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines makes this resort my favorite Sandals Resort yet! Every interaction with the Sandals Staff left me feeling better than the last. From the front desk to room service to spa attendants to the restaurants to the ground’s keepers, the staff at Sandals Saint Vincent was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They greeted us whenever we rode past on our bikes, laughed with us at dinner, and answered our questions, all with an unwavering smile.
